This was a joy to paint. I love the river Severn and the with the highest tide change, the movement of the water and the sand banks, creating such beautiful patterns, I always say it's in the details, take a closer look at the wood grain and colour depth in the spray-painting and I'm sure you can feel the tide moving along with the paint.
Through my painting process I work with my favourite palette knife and a little air brush, along with bits of wood, tissue, spray bottles and anything else that comes to hand when i'm painting with the paints, resin and pastels. These tools all help me to unearth the landscape I am creating in my artworks.
